Again, Boko Haram attacks Borno gov’s convoy, kills 15

The convoy of Babagana Zulum, governor of Borno State, has been attacked again by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

The latest which occurred yesterday is the second attempt targeted at the governor since he took over the affairs of the state.

The recent attack, according to a security source quoted by Punch Newspapers, left 15 persons dead. Eight policemen, three soldiers and four Civilian Joint Task Force operatives reportedly lost their lives in the Friday attack.

The governor was said to have left Maiduguri, the state capital, for Baga to prepare for the planned return of internally displaced persons from Maiduguri to the camps in Baga when the attackers struck.
