22 corruption allegations slammed against Magu

Ibrahim Magu, the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has to clear twenty two (22) corruption allegations levelled against him.

Mr Magu arrested yesterday by security agencies and whisked to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, slept at the force headquarters of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

The 7-man panel headed by retired Justice of the Court of Appeal, Ayo Salami, ordered he be returned to the Presidential Villa today for further interrogation today by 10am

His latest ordeal began after the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, accused him of re-looting recovered assets in the fight against corruption.

The anti-graft czar also accused of insubordination and misconduct was reported to President Muhammadu Buhari who is yet to officially react to the allegations.

His lawyers, led by Rotimi Oyedepo, said they have prepared their defence and are confident that there is no basis for the allegations.
