2023 Presidency: No self-sucession plot, we’ll shock PDP: APC

The All Progressive Congress (APC) says it will shock the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the 2023 presidential election draws near.

The ruling party stated this while debunking self-sucession plot levelled against President Muhammadu Buhari by the opposition party.

The PDP, banking on a statement from the presidency which claimed that Mr Buhari will be a determiner in the 2023 presidential race, said there exist a self-sucession plan by the cabal which will be firmly resisted by the people.

Reacting in a statement on Tuesday, the APC said there is no provision for third them in its agenda unlike during the PDP era.

“Unlike the opposition, we are a disciplined party. PDP is just been hunted by its past,” Secretary to the APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Senator John James Akpanudoehede said. “You will recall the glorious third term agenda while PDP was in power. So, it is easy to accuse APC now.

“After our (APC) congresses and the National Convention, we will shock them (PDP) by bringing a consensus and an agreeable candidate that will fly the flag of the party come 2023. APC has no 3rdterm agenda like PDP.

“What we are doing now is to stabilize and not to allow individual ambition to derail the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“We are a disciplined party and because we cannot allow individual addition to overshadowing what the President is going now,” the party added.
