2023 Presidency: Moghalu declares interest to run

Kingsley Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has declared interest to run for 2023 presidency.

Mr Moghalu, who contested during the last presidential election but lost to outgoing President Muhammadu Buhari, made his intention known in a Twitter post Tuesday morning.

“2023: I will run because the people matter,” the Young Progressive Party (YPP) chieftain said. “There is no hope out of our troubles until Nigeria faces the leadership question and looks for capacity, competence, and a compassionate heart for the suffering poor.”

With his declaration, he is now the only politician who has clearly indicated interest to run for the office while his counterparts are using proxies to indicate their interests.
